What are cookies?

Cookies are small files stored on the User’s device when using the Ontero service. They enable the application to work correctly, maintain a session, and use available features.

Why do we use cookies?

Ontero uses cookies primarily to:

ensure the application works correctly,

maintain the User’s logged-in session,

help keep use of the service secure,

support features available to logged-in Users.

We currently do not use cookies for behavioural advertising or for profiling Users for advertising purposes.

Types of cookies used

Necessary

These are required for the application to work correctly. They enable, among other things, logging in, maintaining a session, and using features available after login.

Without them, using Ontero may be impossible or limited.

Analytics and marketing

Ontero currently does not use cookies for analytics or marketing purposes.

If additional technologies of this kind are implemented in the future, the relevant information will be updated, and where User consent is required it will be obtained before they are used.

Third-party cookies

As part of Ontero’s operation, technical solutions provided by external service providers may be used.

They serve to ensure the application works correctly and to support its features. We currently do not use third-party cookies for advertising or tracking Users.

Retention period

Cookies may be stored for the duration of a session or for a defined period after it ends, depending on their type and function.

Managing cookies

The User may at any time change cookie settings in the browser, including deleting stored files or limiting the ability to store them.

Disabling some cookies may affect the correct operation of Ontero, in particular the ability to log in and maintain a session.
